What is your favorite medium to paint with?

These days most of my painting are oils on canvas. Though I am always experimenting with new styles and mediums!

What do i need to bring on a guided fishing trip in Maine?

We strongly suggest bringing appropriate clothing. This includes sun hoodies in the heat, warm jackets in the cold, or rain jackets in the event of rain. Polarized glasses are a plus. Sunscreen on those hot summer days. Most importantly a valid Maine fishing license.

What is the process to commission a painting?

If you are interested in commissioning a painting the first step is reach out! Alex will discuss species of fish, his and your vision, timing of start and finish, total price, and S/H. Pending nothing out of the ordinary, pricing is based on sq. inches of the work. After discussing the above details an agreement is signed that includes a payment schedule. 50% is due at time of agreement, 50% upon completion of the painting, and S/H is due at time of shipment. Shipment can be 4-8 weeks after the completion of the painting due to oil paints long dry time. . .

What area in maine do you guide?

I guide primarily in Western and Southern Maine along the Androscoggin River. This is a river I love and the trout, smallmouth, and pike reaches are all located within 45 mintes of my home. Our Yurt facility is in Bethel Maine as well and give us a great landing spot for clients to stay and fish out of. The river runs from the NH border to Merrymeeting Bay in Brunswick. This offers folks the ability to have a mountain trout experience, a farmland smallmouth trip, or a Pike journey close to the coastline.

How long does it take you to complete a painting?

What do you provide on guided fly fishing trips?

We provide rods, reels, flies.

Also the boats needed to access the waters we guide.

Full days include a shore lunch and drinks

Half days include a snack and drinks
